Meeting Invitation: “Hey Lubunya! We Are Aging”

17 May Association would like to invite you to launching and experience sharing meeting where the new publication called Hey Lubunya! We Are Aging
As a part of the IDAHOBIT (International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Interphobia and Transphobia (including Enbyphobia) (17 May 2022) this year, 17 May Association organize various activities between 13-17 May 2022.
Among these events, we both celebrate IDAHOBIT and 16 May Honoring LGBTI+ Elders Day by a reception to be held at the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Ankara.
Within this reception, we also conduct an online meeting where we will present the " Hey Lubunya! We Are Aging Survey, Interviews and Study Report" and where the Rose 50+ studies of the COC Netherlands will be shared.
At the meeting, 17 May Association LGBTI+ Aging Studies Programme Coordinator Ozge Gokpinar will introduce our new report, while COC Netherlands-Rose 50+ Ambassadors Jan Derksen-Wynn and Marc Wynn-Derksen will present their studies on aging and elder LGBTI+ persons within COC Netherlands.
This meeting is the first of the experience sharing meetings organized by the 17 May Association within the scope of “Empowerment of Aging and Elder LGBTI+ persons in Accessing Healthcare and Social Services in the Path Going to the Social Acceptance by Service Providers by Getting the Inside Track” Project supported by Human Rights Fund of Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Ankara.
The meeting will be conducted on 16 May 2022, between 15:00-16:00 (Istanbul time zone).
The language of the meeting will be English, and English-Turkish translation support will be provided throughout the entire process.
